NUDSA have worked very closely with NUFC over the past 2 decades to ensure accessibility is a priority. The club is very accommodating to disabled supporters, offering a substantial ticket price discount to qualifying disabled supporters and there is a high capacity of disabled fan spaces in the stadium. Services & Facilities for Disabled Supporters
Fans with a disability should contact the club to let them know about their personal circumstances. Arrangements can also be made for fans with a temporary disability/injury.

The club has two dedicated disability stewards who are available to assist disabled supporters on a match day. To book assistance please use the above contact details.
Stadium Seating
NUFC currently offers a total of 160 spaces for wheelchairs at St. James’ Park. This includes spaces in the away section for visiting supporters. Each wheelchair space includes space for a personal assistant or carer. There is easy level access from ground level to all stands via the relevant gates, and lifts are available for upper-level spaces.
Personal assistants and/or carers, if required, are admitted free of charge.
There are also 24 dedicated places for visually impaired supporters, with each seat linked up to an infra-red commentary system which allows fans to tune in to local commentary of the game.
There is no limit to the number of places for ambulant disabled supporters in the stadium.
Car Parking
There are around 120 spaces available at St. James’ Park on match day, 30 of these are free-of-charge accessible spaces for disabled supporters. These spaces are near the stadium with good access, with plenty of disabled berths.
Most accessible spaces are allocated to season ticket holders prior to each season. However, some spaces are allocated on a match-to-match basis.
NUFC no longer accept bookings for a parking space via email only over the phone, please phone 0191 201 8666. If the match falls on a weekend, the lines open on the Monday before the game at 9am and if the match falls on a weekday, the lines open a week before the game at 9am.

Ticket Concessions
NUFC operate a ticket concession for all qualifying disabled supporters, which equates to a discount of at least 50% of the equivalent match ticket price.
To qualify for the concession you may have to submit evidence to the club as proof of disability. This evidence could include the following:
- Middle or high rate care element of Disability Living Allowance(DLA).
- High rate mobility component of DLA.
- War Pensioners Mobility Supplement.
- PIPs to include enhanced mobility or care.
- Severe Disablement Allowance.
- Attendance Allowance.
- War Pensioners Mobility Allowance.
- War or Service Disablement Pension for 80% or more disability.
- Blind or partially sighted registration certificate(BD8 or CVI). Or evidence from an eye specialist.
- Evidence from Social Services of being on the Deaf Register. Or evidence from an aural specialist of hearing loss being recorded at 70-95 dBHL or worse.
- Evidence from Social Services, doctor or Head Teacher of having a learning difficulty or disability.
Visiting supporters are eligible to receive the same disability ticket concessions as NUFC supporters subject to the same conditions.
Proof of disability for concession eligibility is required for the first ticket purchase per season only, although the club reserves the right to request proof of eligibility at any time. Please note the decision of the Box Office Manager is final in assessing eligibility for disabled concessions.
The club encourages fans to make them aware of their personal situation so they can make the match day experience as comfortable as possible. Arrangements can also be made for fans suffering a temporary disability such as broken leg, provided enough notice is given.

Facilities
NUFC has induction loops installed in reception, the box office and shop. The box office is also equipped with a text phone for supporters with hearing impairments.
Changing Places
NUFC has two changing places within St. James’ Park. One in the East Stand, and one on Level 7 of the Milburn Stand.
